Prophecy in Mathematics by Zim Olson

The student, confused, pulled out his Webster's Defineuator.

He entered the verbal string and known parameters...the Defineuator blinked, winked a couple of times and gave the result: " Logical derivative of  Expressed meaning to I Don't Know - I Do Know for all x = Y  relative to itself.

Puzzled by this answered, the student, hit the Qualitative - Quantitative expression magnification mode and got this result:

"All Truth is equal to itself and that is all" and an exhaustive list of self evident equalities followed.

Hmmm, said the Student, I'll have to down load this to my Logic Quantifier. And then ...Quantify Analytically....After an hour of Permutation derivatives....The Student said "Information Overload" this is more answer than me or my professor wants or has time for".

"I guess it is back to the Old Flow Gram"

On the Top of the Top Down Flow Gram the Student entered "QuanQualA - QuanA , A =a-z."

The student then checked "Analyze for Quality A derivatives and their equivalencies."

The Flow Gram was quickly but partially filled, and requested more input/direction. Pick One.

  1. QuanQualA - QuanA for a +...+z?

  2. QuanQualA - QuanA for a or...or z?

  3. QuanQualA - QuanA for a +/or...+/or z?

  4. QuanQualA - QuanA for a1 ,...,z1?

Not sure which item to check, and the Student not wanting more answer than needed.  He didn't want to be more correct than necessary. The student checked #4

Now the Flow Gram was completely filled except for the bottom level.

And the Flow Gram prompted the following:

"The Ultimate Derivate/Equivalency not derivable. Need the following information:

  1. QuanQual a ≠ Quan a,  QuanQual b ≠ Quan b, ..........,QuanQual z ≠ Quan z?

  2. QuanQual a  ≠ QuanQual b ≠.........≠QuanQual z?

  3. 1 = unit a? or 1 = unit b? or .....or 1 = unit z?

The Student checked 1 and 2 and 1 = unit a.  And then clicked  "Translate - Transform  QuanQualA - QuanA , a =a-z".

The Student took a while to read the final nodes of the Flow Gram. They read:

(QuanQualA = QuanQualA1)/(QuanQual a - QuanQual b - Quan Qual c - .... - QuanQualz) = >

Aa1-b-c-....-z   Or En englés

" The Definition of A paramatized by a1 is given by 'a' minus all other parametizations of A"

or as an example:

The definition of Apple parametized by a1 = Food is given by definition of Food minus all other definitions such as Living Organism, Organic Compound, Life, Mass, Physical Object etc.

Ahhh said the Student, I now know what I said!  I should get an A+,, but then maybe I should put that possibility in my flow gram also and prove to the professor what my grade should be!
