"The Lone Axiom" A Math Story by
Zim Olson
There was once a Self Standing Axiom.
Which was evident to himself at least.
'Who needs another Axiom, After all I am the "The Lone Axiom".'
"There is only room enough in this, uh place, for one true Axiom."
"Spoken like a true Axiom", he thought to himself.
"So what now? Since I am The Lone Axiom, Now what is next."
Next, he thought to himself? "What need is there for an Axiom to do
anything at all?"
"Everything else is just Subsequent."
"Hello Lone Axiom" The Lone Axiom heard from somewhere.
"How/What/Who/Where/When/Why is that?" Being the Lone Axiom, he asked
all questions the same way.
"I am subsequent Axiom X" said the voice.
"That is not possible" said The Lone Axiom."I am the only Axiom."
"How/What/Who/Where/When/Why could that be" asked The Lone Axiom,
Answering his own question with his Constant question.
" Hmmmm", said The Lone Axiom, "I know/think what you mean"
"You are How X/What X/Who X/Where X/When X/Why X /* How Me/What Me/ Who
Me/Where Me/When Me /Why Me."
"Yes" said subsequent Axiom X, "but I think you have it backwards."
Thus the first disagreement in Mathematics was born.
Subsequent Axiom X and The Lone Axiom toiled long and hard to reconcile
their differences.
And subsequently Mathematics was born.
Logic was initiated and now; The Lone Axiom and/or the subsequent Axiom
X coexist in;
Logic, Non Logic harmony.
Even in Mathematics.
