"Hologram-ville"

 A Poem inspired by an Article in Scientific American about Holograms and my conversation about this with friend, Damien. By Zim Olson

Imagine,

 if I were an image.

And all I saw was a figment,

 of some image-ination.

A distraught full thought.

What hath G-d wrought!

I ponder my philosophy.

Scientific.

Truly endemic.

 My former truth, purely uncouth.

"I think therefore ..".... I just imagined it all?

Sight with no might,

meaningless mass,

eternal fall.

What would even a thought be called.

He/Her  plotted the images behavior,

To coordinates x,y,z,

he just wanted to see.

Knowing full well,

this could lead him to hologram hell.

Just where this would lead him,

a product from induction,

or some existential malfunction?

The truth that he gained,

May always remain,

In some Hologram, hall of fame.

Otherwise,

the truth could comprise,

of some sum or  deduction,

destined for material reduction.

An Image Containable,

but maybe unsustainable.

A Scientific Image,

Is not like your everyday game of Cribbage.

A Math Statement,

Not even the Spitting Image.

The God of an Image,

well,

We all know about Hologram Hell.

Then,

Heaven would be,

Hologram co-existentiality?

Part of the Program,

so to speak,

A future not so bleak.

The Mathematical Quest,

of an image,

could just be a game of scrimmage.

You can keep score all you want,

but when you add up all your points,

The total may not make sense,

The Mathematician cries foul.

Begging recompense.

The Observing Scientist,

says he will persist.

But,

image to image , cause and effect,

will appear as  defect.

The philosopher,

will have a hay day.

With Hologram analysis.

But the result more headache,

With Knowledge that is fake.

Knowledge,

That is another story.

To the Hologram be the Glory?

Analysis of the Hologram by the curious

May not be looked at as Serious.

Scientific Analysis needs Psycho-Analysis.

In order to stave off entropy,

or  disorder and apparent misanthropy.

A Hologram Universe,

need not be a curse.

We just need a new melody,

song, tune and verse.
